Your choices with this poetry are really good. The accompaniment has an urgency as it moves forward through the song sounding like "ridin'". The bridge adds that mournful instrument (was it a recorder or Indian flute?). The addition of the cello in the second interlude adds a depth of feeling. I loved how you slowed the accompaniment down at the end. Especially loved how you sang, "...made peace with the earth and we lived."
Kathy, I've been enjoying following your travels through Italy. Glorious. Thanks for taking time to comment on this song. That was an electric guitar, high and etherial.
Yup. That’s a crazy brilliant song. Paul, of course, is also one of my long-time favorites and the first person I chose to interview for my radio show (archived at www.ofthewest.net).
Poignant...as usual..and nice to know what goes into the sausage..
Wow!
Thanks for sharing the mysterious intrigue of the creative process and its unique rewards. Congrats!
