How wonderful that you have these recordings! I love Atwood's and yours. The attraction to your music and writing is YOUR quiet power and your simple, straight forward style (and faith). I have had several friends call me lately wanting to bemoan the news of the recent political change. I tell them I don't read or watch the news and would rather not talk about it. I tell them how I go hiking in the mountains every day. I tell them how a couple of days ago I stood at the top of a Red Butte peak for 20 minutes to watch a hawk or eagle catching thermals. He (or she) was having such fun. It was mesmerizing and peaceful. There is much to love in this world, your 'Boosts' being among them!

What a banjo riff… hits home especially if you’ve been on a mid-winter pilgrimage to check an empty trap line. From our conversation last week; the lament, the imagery, and the haunting emotions over simple melody lines take “Two-Dot” to the heart. And take a listener back into the old Montana. Thanks for ride Hal

Well, partner, that's a mighty fine banjo and a mighty fine song.

I grew up down river, near Melstone, and write about that country often. Loved the song.

Thanks, Hal. Beautiful.

My brother, Steve, just wrote a book about that country, particularly the Reed and Bowles Trading Post on Big Spring Creek. He calls it “Beyond Spotted Trout Creek.” It’ll be out a little later this year.
